Citycard is a non-profit making organisation that acts to change attitudes and behavior, to protect and conserve the environment.

Citycard exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.

Citycard was founded in 1999 when it was introduced to the Edinburgh Council as a City Wide discount card.

Every city resident was sent a Citycard free every summer, with a booklet telling  them where it could be used.

The Citycard had proved popular after being launched seven years ago as an “Edinburgh loyalty card”.

Due to budget cuts the Edinburgh Council withdrew the Citycard in 2007.

The original founder of Citycard has re-invented  it as the Eco-friendly loyalty card with out the need to send booklets or plastic cards to it users.

Smartphones have made it a lot easier for the business to go online and the customers to simply download the Citycard directly on their handset. There’s no need to worry about another plastic card in their wallet, or paying for a replacement or lost cards thus reducing our impact on the environment by more than 97%.
